Protein Style Snow Ice Cream Recipe

Protein Style Snow Ice Cream Recipe

Fresh, fluffy snow is the quintessential ingredient for a delightful snow ice cream treat. However, it's important to ensure the snow is clean and free from any potential contaminants. The key is to gather the snow as soon as it's fallen from the sky, avoiding any snow that's been sitting around on the ground for a while. This helps prevent the introduction of bacteria, germs, or other unwanted elements that could compromise the purity and safety of your yummy creation!

While the snow is chilling in the freezer, whisk together the ingredients in the list below. This classic base provides the perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess to complement the ethereal texture of the snow with added protein!

For a healthy and creative twist, consider incorporating one of our favorite superfoods - chia seeds! Chia seeds not only add a nutrient-dense boost to your snow ice cream, but their gelatinous texture can also help create an even creamier consistency. Simply whisk the chia seeds into the milk mixture and let it sit for a few minutes before folding in the freshly fallen snow. The result is a delightfully nutritious and delicious winter treat that will have your taste buds dancing with delight. You can also go wild and add sprinkles, for the kid in you, pistachios, walnuts or any other type of nuts and berries!

This just might be your new go to dessert when you are trying to aim for a healthy option with less sugar and carbs! Protein Style Snow Ice Cream is that game changer. Have fun with this.

Protein Style Snow Ice Cream Ingredients:
Here are the 4 simple ingredients that you will need to make this snow ice cream recipe:

Protein Milk: For this recipe we are using our Arctic Tundra - Icy Vanilla Whey Protein Isolate Powder — (we also have Nightfall Chocolate and vegan arctic tundra vanilla or vegan nightfall chocolate) .

Mixer: Now you need your standard liquid to mix the protein powder with. Try this with coconut water, chocolate coconut water, if using the Nightfall Chocolate, milk, regular or vegetarian/vegan based milks.

Sweetener: Whatever you prefer to use, stevia, sugar, monk fruit, etc. Since this recipe we are using our protein powder, that is sweet to the taste. I would add a sweetener if you think it is needed before pouring it over the ice.

Fresh snow (or shaved ice): Finally, you’ll need about 8 cups of fresh clean snow. Or if you prefer not to use snow, you’re welcome to use shaved ice instead. I recommend placing the snow in a metal mixing bowl or a chilled glass bowl to prevent it from melting if you bring the snow inside.
